Last Train to Istanbul

Ayse Kulin er en av Tyrkias mest leste forfattere. Så vidt jeg kan se er ingen av bøkene hennes oversatt til norsk. Boka "Last Train to Istanbul" ga meg absolutt lyst til å lese flere av bøkene hennes, så jeg har lastet ned "Rose of Sarajevo" også.

Ved siden av at dette er en fin fortelling om kjærlighet og familiebånd, lærte jeg mye nytt om Tyrkias rolle under andre verdenskrig. Ikke visste jeg at de holdt seg såkalt nøytrale helt til 1945, og at et tyrkisk pass ga fritt leide gjennom et Europa i krig. Dette er en bra bok synes jeg! Terningkast fem fra meg.
